Weather Extension and App
Meteoflow offers weather tools for the browser and mobile devices – designed for quick access to current conditions and forecasts without opening a separate app or website.
Weather Tools for Your Browser and Mobile
The Meteoflow product line covers two formats: a browser weather extension for desktop use and a mobile application for iOS and Android. Both connect to the same weather data – current conditions, a multi-day forecast, and location-based updates – delivered through the interface that fits how a person works or moves through the day.
The browser tool sits in the toolbar and shows local weather without switching tabs. The mobile app brings the same data to a phone with home screen widgets and push notifications. The two products serve different contexts but share the same underlying approach: weather information available at the moment it's needed, with no extra steps.

Platform Availability and Support
Meteoflow is available on two browsers now, with mobile platforms launching later. The extension and the app share the same data infrastructure – the difference is where and how the information is displayed.
Supported Browsers
The browser weather extension runs on Chrome and Firefox, both marked as available. Installation goes through the standard extension store for each browser. Safari and other desktop browsers are not currently listed as supported platforms.
Chrome and Firefox together cover the majority of desktop browser usage globally, so the extension reaches most users without requiring a browser switch.
Why Users Choose Meteoflow
Meteoflow is built around three principles: accurate data, privacy, and a clean interface. Each shapes how the product works in practice.
Data Accuracy and Sources
The forecast pulls from multiple weather sources and cross-references them through predictive models. For the browser extension, this means the local weather app reading in the toolbar reflects current conditions rather than a cached value from hours earlier. The 10-day forecast recalculates as new data arrives, so the outlook for the weekend updates through the week as conditions develop. Air quality is included alongside standard weather parameters. For users in urban areas or regions with seasonal pollution, having both in one place removes the need to check a separate source.
Privacy and Data Handling
Meteoflow does not track, sell, or share personal data. Location is used to load weather conditions for the relevant area - it is not stored or passed to third parties. For a real time weather app that runs continuously in the browser or on a home screen, this matters: the tool has persistent access to location, and how that data is handled is a reasonable thing to check before installing.
Interface and Usability
The extension and the upcoming mobile app are designed to surface the relevant information immediately. Current temperature, "feels like", and the short-range forecast are visible on first open - no navigation required. The weather forecast app layout on mobile will follow the same logic, with widget sizes that fit different home screen setups without cluttering the display.
The Meteoflow browser extension is available now for Chrome and Firefox. Install it to get current conditions and a 10-day forecast directly in your toolbar.
FAQ
What does the Meteoflow browser extension do?
The extension displays current weather conditions for your location in the browser toolbar – temperature, feels like, wind, humidity, and a 10-day forecast. It updates continuously and includes an air quality index alongside standard weather parameters.
Is the Meteoflow weather extension free to use?
The browser weather extension is free to install on Chrome and Firefox. No account or subscription is required to access current conditions and the forecast.
How accurate is Meteoflow weather data?
Meteoflow pulls from multiple weather sources and cross-references them through predictive models. Short-range forecasts covering 1-3 days carry the highest accuracy. The 10-day outlook recalculates as new data arrives.
Does the extension show real-time weather updates?
Yes. The live weather extension refreshes continuously and reflects current conditions each time you open it. Data updates every 15 minutes, so the reading in the toolbar stays current through the day.
How does Meteoflow detect my location?
Location detection runs automatically based on your browser or device position. No manual city input is required, though you can search for a specific location if needed.
Which browsers support the Meteoflow extension?
Chrome and Firefox are currently supported. Both are available now through their respective extension stores. Other browsers are not listed as supported at this stage.
